Limón

To the south of Limón the highway runs parallel to the sea and provides access for tourists to dozens of kilometres of beaches with transparent water and lovely estuaries. The road runs through lush vegetation typical of poorly watered habitats and stifling humidity. Shortly after the Vizcaya estuary it enters a world of coconut trees, which give colour and beauty to the coastline, and then continues beyond the Negro estuary. These scenic sites with coconut trees are typical of the Caribbean coast.
