Playa Langosta can be accessed by the following two routes: Liberia- Guardia- Filadelfia- Belén Huacas- Villa Real- Tamarindo or Santa Cruz- Villa Real- Tamarindo- Playa Langosta. Unpaved only from Villa Real. The second option is unpaved road for almost the entire distance. It also has an airport for small planes with 6 daily flights to San José, Quépos and Arenal. Playa Langosta is located 3 kms from Playa Tamarindo which is a tourist beach with lots of hotels and activity for a mainly young croud. Playa Langosta is located southeast from the San Francisco Estuary. the brilliant waves invite for surfing. It is a place made up of large extensions of clear sand beaches. Surrounded by Svannah Oak-, Tamarindo and Coconut trees.
Tamarindo has quite an infrastructure with a bank, a hardware store, lots of real estate agencies, hotels, bars, discos and little souvenir and surf shops and small grocery stores. Its a good destination for anyone that wants to fish, surf, kayak, dive, snorkle or boat.
