Guanacaste

Access to this remote site is via Nicoya - Curime - Maquenco - Playa Garza. The route, which covers 51 km, is very picturesque and wends its way through rough terrain and little valleys where there is extensive cattle breeding.

Garza Bay is a small bay with a rocky shore located south of the Nicoya Peninsula. It is surrounded by sedimentary hills over 800 million years old, between Garza Point to the southwest and Escondida Point to the southeast. It is a coastal site of great scenic beauty composed of beaches, the River Garza esturay, rocky platforms that are exposed at low tide, and the little village of Garza.
