Limón

This covers the sector included between the mouths of the rivers Pacuare and Matina and protects the last block of forest left in the area. Sea turtles, including the leatherback (Dermochelys coriacea), come on to nest on beach. There are also a great many river turtles there. The Tortuguero channels cross this reserve.
