Limón

The confluence of freshwater from rivers and channels with sea water gives rise in this wetland to a great diversity of species of flora and fauna. There are a great many provision trees (Pachira aquatica) and ice cream beans (Inga). Access to the edge of the wetland is along a path that starts from the Tortuguero channels.
