Coco Island Diving!

Diving at Cocos Islands

ONE OF THE WORLD'S GREATEST DIVING EXPERIENCES!

COCOS ISLAND, also known as "Treasure Island," is about 325 miles from Costa Rica, and takes about a day and a half to get there. It is isolated, virtually by itself, and therefore concentrates the marine life from miles around. It used to be a hideout of pirates. Coco Island is the world's largest uninhabited island, an example of pristine nature, and, of course, great diving! Because of the quantity of marine life to be found there, it was granted World Heritage status. Isla Del Coco is second in the Americas for the amount of large marine species within its waters - (February 1996 issue of Scuba Diving Magazine.)

Coco Island abounds with Hammerhead Sharks, bottle nose dolphins, and the occasional whale shark! You'll also see Moorish Idols, large schools of jack and tuna, giant Manta rays, giant Moray eels, Creole fish, lobsters, octopus and other various reef life for your diving excitement!. Green turtles Silky sharks, silver tips, sailfish, and marlin are everywhere. Coco is excitement!
