Visit local art shops and art exhibitions. Plant your toes in the sand and feel the warm ocean water swirl around your ankles. Go back to your art easel and paint a captivating sunset overlooking a beach. Smell and taste a ripe mango or a medicinal plant and experience art of an indigenous indian tribe. Capture art on your canvas so you can relive it all again. <br><br> Jan Yatsko, a experienced and professional artist and craftsperson for 30 years, has designed two unique and inspirational 9 day art, nature and culture tours throughout Costa Rica. During the tour, each person will create an art travel journal filled with personal experiences of their art working vacation. These might include paintings of tropical colors and sunsets, sketches, collages and written journal / diary observations. Jan knows that we can all learn from each other as artists, so this adult tour is for all ability levels regardless of how experienced you think you are. Prior to leaving, participants will receive complete information on what to pack, local artists, money exchange and other travel and cultural information. <br><br> <h2 align=center>About Costa Rica Art Workshop Leader - Jan Yatsko</h2> Jan has a varied 30 year career as an artist and craftsperson, giving many exhibitions. "I have used those years to experiment and expand my talents beyond my art education major in college." Jan likes to share art knowledge with other people by guiding them on their own path to self-fulfillment and art-discovery. Jan's fiber work was featured in the book “The Basketmaker’s Art- Contemporary Baskets and Their Makers”. <br><br> Jan's current work has a roots in Costa Rica, working in two different media: acrylic wash paintings of daily life in Costa Rica and mixed media - folding wire mesh instead of paper. Her latest project is to fill the town of Atenas with original art work. Both foreign and Costa Rican artists who live in Atenas have created and donated art work to the clinic she helped found.
