In Jaco, you'll find all the necessities, tourist shopping, and some international companies, like DHL or Subway Sandwich (2 pictures below), that will make your life more convenient. More than just a beach town, because of its easy access to San Jose, only 1 1/2 to 2 hours, it is growing rapidly, and is beginning to take on more of the flavor each year of a "San Jose by the Sea!" Because of the good local economy, you'll have no problem finding great restaurants. Seafood dishes can be absolutely fantastic!
