Internships
The school offers you the opportunity to do a 4, 8, or 12-week internship with a company in San José. You should already have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Spanish. You can do (unpaid) internships in the areas of trade and industry, with tour organizers or with incoming agencies. Accommodation is with a guest family in a single room with half board (breakfast and dinner).
Applications must be received no later than 12 weeks before the start of the course and must include the following:
a resumé in Spanish, 2 passport photos, a letter of application, and copies of your university transcripts or a reference from your university.

Volunteer Work
At the end of your Spanish course, you can do volunteer work for at least 15 days in a national park. You work as a volunteer for the forestry commission, and it is a unique experience. The Academia Tica makes the arrangements for this volunteer work.
