Explore on your own! You go as you please, choosing hotels and lodges from the category you selected. There are 124 hotels in this category, covering almost the whole country. In order to receive the discounted rates, advance bookings at the selected hotels are not accepted. You may however; call in advance to see if a room is available. When calling or checking in, you must identify yourself as a Costa Rican Trails Freedom tour client

Day 1 : San Jose

Meet and greet at the airport and transfer an transfer to your hotel.



Overnight at the Britannia Hotel in San Jose (pre-booked)

Day 2 : San Jose Flexi-drive

Briefing at the Hotel and discussion of the best route and choices of hotels. A 4x4 vehicle will be dropped off at the hotel and then you are off to explore Costa Rica on your own.

Day 3-7 : Flexi-Drive

Drive through scenic Costa Rica and experience its natural wonders and adventurous landscapes. You have a choice of 124 hotels scattered throughout the most visited and popular areas of the country. Some of the areas included are: Arenal, Monteverde, Jaco, Guanacaste, Sarapiqui, Montezuma, Manuel Antonio among others.

Drive to the international airport; drop off car and departure flight.
