Lying just east of the capital city of San Jose, massive Irazú Volcano is Costa Rica's highest volcano at 3,432 meters. You will go on a very scenic day trip to the Central Valley to admire this volcano and enjoy a day full of Costarican history and beautiful panoramic views. Monteverde Cloud Forest and Tamarindo Beach are next in your itinerary. Spend quality time at each location and enjoy the abundant flora and fauna each has to offer.
Day 1 : Arrival to San José
At arrival to the Juan Santamaría International Airport one of our representatives will meet you at the baggage claim area and provide private transfer to your hotel in San José.

Day 2 : Morning Tour: Irazú Volcano, Orosi Valley and Lankaster Gardens
Pick up at your hotel in San José to start ascending the large Irazú Volcano. The winding road travels through fertile lands cultivated with all kinds of vegetables as we observe a lovely panoramic view. On the top of the volcano you can observe the main craters and on a clear day both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans can be seen.
As we descend to the city of Cartago we will stop at the Virgin of the Angels church that according to religious custom is a peregrination site for many believers. After visiting the Church we will stop at Lankaster Gardens, a University of Costa Rica Institute for investigation with more than 800 species of orchids, bromeliads and countless species of other plants. Then continue on to Orosi Valley to visit one of the few remaining colonial churches and stop for lunch in one of the local restaurants

Day 3 : San José– Monteverde
This morning, shuttle service will be provided to Monteverde Cloud Forest. Duration 3 ½ hours

Day 4 : Sky Trek / Sky Tram / Sky Trek
Sky Trek tour starts with the Sky Tram that will lead you up to the Continental Divide. The sky trek is a system of zip lines ranging from mountain to mountain, which together have a distance of 2.5 miles of linear cable. It gives you the opportunity to fly through a cable and have a unique experience of adventure and adrenaline at speeds up to 40 miles per hour with distances ranging up to 2500 feet and heights of 524 feet. In addition the tour offers 5 observation towers that exceed the cloud forest treetops providing a panoramic view. All with total security and in an innovative braking system.

Night Tour: Sendero Tranquilo Reserve Hiking Tour
This reserve borders the Monteverde Cloud Forest Private Reserve and the Guacimal River. The trails are narrow, in an effort to minimize environmental impact, and to provide guests a close contact with the natural surroundings. The tour takes you through different tropical environments where you can spot many bird species and if lucky: monkeys. It’s a great place to enjoy the local flora and fauna!

Day 5 : Monteverde – Tamarindo
After breakfast shuttle transfer will be provided to Tamarindo Beach, Guanacaste. Duration 4 hours
Both nature and beach lovers will find plenty here to fill their days. Tamarindo is famous for its stunning beaches, its marine national park and wildlife refuge. This area encompasses beaches that attract one of the largest leatherback turtle populations in the world. Peak nesting seasons in the area are October through January. Due to its constant waves, it is also one of the favorite places for surfers.

Day 6-7 : Tamarindo Free days
Relax on the beach or take an ATV tour go horseback riding, surfing or visit a National Park. There are many fun and new options in this area for you.

Day 8 : Tamarindo - San José
After breakfast, private transfer will be provided to San José. Duration 4 ½ hours
