Shawandha Lodge is my absolute favorite in Puerto Viejo.
In the middle of giant trees of Ceiba and tropical flowers of endless colors, it offers a very particular feel with the fresh smelling wooden bungalows, terraces and nicely decorated bathrooms; work of the French artist Filou Pascal. The restaurant has a French Chef, so you can enjoy a superb French cuisine with a Caribbean touch.

Shawandha Lodge was designed like an old "Pueblo" in harmony with nature.
Shawandha is the Lodge on the Southern Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica whose intention is to co-exist with respect to nature. Its spacious bungalows constructed in neo-primitive style with an artistic mixture of wood and ceramic and with palm roofs. Each of the bungalows has its own individual character, design and atmosphere. Enjoy viewing nature and its vibrant colors from the hammock of the terrace or from your bed.
