How to Get There:

Rincon de la Vieja
From San José, drive to Liberia on the Interamerican Highway. From the main intersection in Liberia (you'll notice the three gas stations and Burger King), drive 5 kilometers north, towards the Nicaraguan border, and turn right at the entrance to Curubande/Rincón de la Vieja National Park/Las Pailas sector. It is 14 kilometers on a dirt road to the village of Curubande, and another kilometer to the gate at Hacienda Guachipelín.

    From your room, you can enjoy, during the day, the views of the volcano and the hacienda, and relax at night with the real sounds of nature. The Standard Rooms are located near the Reception Area, the Swimming Pool and the Bar, and the Cattle Corrals. All the rooms have two beds, either two doubles or one double and one single. The Superior Rooms are bigger and more spacious, and they are located in the newer buildings of the hotel with better views of the area. Each room has a safe deposit box, and a private bathroom with hot water heated by the sun on solar panels.
