How to Get There:

If you are travelling by car take the Inter American North road and follow directions to Puntarenas, and to the Puente del Tempisque. Once you cross the Tempisque Bridge, drive to Samara and then to Carrillo. Once past Carrillo you will find a ballast road, keep driving until you find Hotel Sueno Tropical on the left side of the road. Here you will also see the sign that says Punta Islita 9 km. You can turn to the right and check the water level of the creek you will have to cross, if it is too high turn around and follow the same road you were on before until you reach Santa Marta, then Santa Maria, then San Martin and then El Carmen. Before you get to El Carmen you will see a white and brown wood fence on your left, turn to the left at the end of the fence. At the end of that road turn left again and from there it is 7km to the Hotel. Usually the total trip takes about 6 hours.
