Playa Hermosa is located at Hermosa Bay in Sardinal, Guanacaste. To get there, take the route Liberia - Guardia - Playas del Coco - Playa Hermosa. . The distance of 37 km is completley paved.

Hermosa Beach with its gentle surf, transparent waters and dry climate is located in Hermosa Beach Bay. This beach is 2 kms. long and is framed by spurs of volcanic rock. Its mayor attrctions are its scenic beauty and plentiful sunshine. The view includes hills with clumps of tropical dry forest, Pelonas islands, Montosa Island and Mala Point on the other side of Culebra Bay.
