Travel by Bus

You can travel by bus If you have a single destination in mind, such as Arenal, Montezuma, Cahuita or Tamarindo, first-class bus service is the way to go. Vehicles are modern, travel almost non-stop, and are driven by someone who knows the roads from experience. There is no central terminal in San José for direct buses to other cities, so city planners have spread out the bus stops around town to lessen congestion.
