Breakfasts are not always included !!
It used to mean a suspicious-eyed old woman with knitting needles who
hustled you upstairs to sleep on itchy sheets and had fried eggs ready for
you in the morning – ready since the night before.

The allure of bed and breakfasts, whether a spare room in a private
home or an establishment with a number of rooms for rent,
is their homey atmosphere and the opportunity to share close
contact with others. Breakfasts are included, obviously, but often dinners
can be added to the package for a small charge. Most per-night prices are
well below hotel rates, but not always.
The Bed & Breakfasts on this website have a B&B after the listing.
Besides B&Bs, another interesting way to stay in a homey atmosphere is
to sign up for study at one of the many Spanish-language schools. They
will make your residential arrangements in a participating local middleclass
family’s home.
