Bienvenido a Costa Rica ...

Travel, Vacation and Adventure Guide to Costa Rica

Americans have always been eager for travel, that being how they got to the New World in the first place. ~ Otto Freidrich, Time magazine, 1985

Bienvenido a Costa Rica – welcome to Costa Rica! You shouldn’t encounter too much culture shock upon arrival. Even if you’re unused to the ways of Latin America, Ticos are used to you. Unlike other poorer, less-visited countries of the region, Costa Rica is essentially a modern nation with a cosmopolitan outlook toward the world.

Plus, there are so many North Americans living and visiting here, the society cannot help but be accommodating. Costa Rica is often called a paradise. It boasts a beautiful country, modern infrastructure, tolerant society, religious freedom and a stable democratic government. Although it’s not quite perfect, most tourists find Costa Rica offers them an ideal vacation that leaves nothing but fond memories.
