A small tip will help many humble families !!
Tipping is not a city in China.

We tip by North American standards – $2-2.50 per night for
cleaners in hotels and $1 per large bag carried by bellhops. Taxi
drivers get no tip as they include it in the rate. Remember to negotiate first if a taxi has no meter, or maria. (Most of them have) Also, seatbelt use in
cars and taxis is required by law but is uncommon except for us gringos.
Use them – you won’t regret it.
Guides, many of them college-educated naturalists, should be tipped as
generously as you feel they’re worth – they live almost exclusively on
tips. Many restaurants automatically add a 10% tip, propina, to the bill.
If we had good service, we tip another 10%.
